How can I search the site?

Use the central search on the PRC Home Page or the search box at the top, right corner of any page to search all PRC site content. Select "Meetings," "Conditions," or "Webinars" on the drop-down list to search within one particular content category.

From any Meeting or Condition page, use the "Search this Meeting" / "Search This Condition" search box to search within a particular meeting or condition for specific filtered content.

In any search box, use quotations to search for specific phrases, eg. "Ankle Sprain."

After searching with your chosen terms, use the filters on the left sidebar to refine your search results.

What content can I access for free?

PRC Core Content is available for free to dues-paying AOFAS members upon sign-in.

Honorary and Emeritus Members can purchase access to the PRC; AOFAS members and non-members can purchase subscription access to

Who owns the materials in the PRC?

All AOFAS meeting abstracts, handouts and ePosters are owned by their authors and made available to AOFAS through a "License to Use" or "Transfer of Copyright" agreement. All recorded video content, including webinars and meetings recordings, is owned by the AOFAS, though presentations within these recordings are the intellectual property of their presenters.

OrthopaedicsOne review articles are freely available to users who may copy, modify and distribute that content, so long as the new version grants the same freedoms to others and attributes the content to the authors of the OrthopaedicsOne article used. To achieve this goal, the text contained in OrthopaedicsOne is licensed to the public under the Creative Commons license known as Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 . This license permits anyone to (1) copy, distribute, and display your work, (2) work remix, tweak, and build upon your work, without commercial use of your work, subject to these conditions:
  • Attribution. You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor.
  • Noncommercial. You may not use this work for commercial purposes.
  • Share Alike. If you alter, transform, or build upon this work, you may distribute the resulting work only under a license identical to this one.
What is an electronic watermark?

An electronic watermark indicates that each abstract and ePoster has come from the copyrighted collection of materials in the PRC. You will see this mark on all printed materials you view online.

What other media will be available in the future?

The PRC will evolve into a multimedia site that will include a medical image bank and a members-only forum for social collaboration. Currently, the site is focused on making meeting materials, ePosters, webinars and videos readily available to AOFAS members.

Content on the PRC will be monitored by the PRC Committee, chaired by Lew Schon, MD.

How will patient privacy be respected by the PRC?

The AOFAS is committed to patient confidentiality. Presenters have obtained all necessary permissions and/or adhered to all requirements under state and federal privacy laws and regulations (including HIPAA regulations).
